This advanced practice option prepares MSW students with the knowledge and skills for work with people who have experienced the effects of trauma. Advanced Clinical Seminar: Practices for Trauma Recovery The field internship is devoted to developing skills for therapeutic services. Students work in an agency three days per week under the supervision of clinical social workers who work with people with developmental disabilities. Through this advanced practice option, MSW students undergo training to work with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
